4-Thinking about things

Here's a list of romantic things that doesn't really seem to fit with my ideal relationship.

1- Kissing romantically is pretty overblown, especially when portrayed in media as something amazing. Mind you I kissed someone who I didn't connect with and who didn't see me for who I am.

2- Romantic proposals I find that I react weirdly to. When my ex told me he had a crush on me, I kept walking telling him that I wasn't interested (a month later, I told him "fine, we can date"). A few years later, a friend of mine told me that she had a crush on me, but I didn't feel anything so I told her that I was sorry.

3- Gifts, especially if they don't know what I like. I do like the gesture, but I'm not interested in diamond necklaces and stuff (my current partner did get me a Stranger Things Demogorgon plushie, which is really nice in my opinion).

4- PDA, or public display affection. Hand holding is fine, hugging is fine too. But fully making out in public is something that I don't like experiencing first hand.

5- Pet names, like baby, babe, sugar, sweet cakes, anything associated romantically really. I would rather stick to a nickname that I was called before, like bestie.
